When you use Bizvo, we collect:
- Account information: name, email address, and LinkedIn profile photo (via LinkedIn Sign-In or manual entry)
- Profile information: professional headline, company, job title, home city, bio, LinkedIn profile URL, and interests you select
- Location data: home city coordinates (via browser geolocation, optional) and trip destination coordinates
- Usage data: pages visited, features used, and interactions (via PostHog analytics)
- Communications: messages sent through Bizvo group chats and networking requests
2. How We Use It
- Matching: connecting you with professionals who share your interests and are in your area
- Activities: showing relevant activities, events, and venue suggestions near you
- Networking: enabling professional connections and group coordination
- Product improvement: understanding usage patterns to improve the Bizvo experience
3. Third-Party Services
Bizvo uses the following third-party services:
- Supabase: database, authentication, and real-time messaging infrastructure
- LinkedIn (OpenID Connect): optional sign-in providing name, email, and profile photo
- PredictHQ: real-world event data for nearby events discovery
- Vercel: application hosting
- PostHog: product analytics
- Sentry: error tracking
We do not sell your data to any third party.
4. Data Retention
- Account data: retained while your account is active. Deleted upon account deletion request.
- Location data: trip locations expire when the trip end date passes. Home city coordinates are retained while your account is active.
- Chat messages: retained for the duration of the activity or networking connection.
- Analytics data: anonymized and retained for product improvement purposes.
5. Your Rights
- Access: request a copy of all data we hold about you
- Correction: update inaccurate information via your profile settings
- Deletion: request complete account and data deletion
- Portability: request an export of your data in a standard format
6. Security
We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), row-level security policies on all database tables, and server-side authentication verification on all protected routes. Location data is never exposed at exact GPS precision to other users — only approximate distances are shown.
